History

Members of Rolleston CC have been researching the clubs history for several years. From sources including parish records and the Burton Chronicle, cricket in Rolleston has been traced back to 1871 when a Rolleston team played Stretton. By the end of the century Rolleston Cricket Club had been founded and was playing regular matches. Some of the teams Rolleston were playing at this time are familiar, for example Rolleston played Dunstall home and away in 1878.
