After a night of rain, Rolleston found themselves playing on a damp wicket at the Willows, Rolleston put the visitors into bat.
Liam Goode took the first wicket with the first ball of the game having the Tutbury opener cleaned bowled, continued to bowl a great opening spell of 4-2-5-1. Tutbury batted steadily, but with Dan Wildman (3-0-7-2) removing the dangerous Waddington and another batsmen three balls later putting Tutbury on the back foot. Captain Featherstone brought young Joe Bateman into the attack with devastating effect, Joe taking a wicket in each of his first two overs but his third over 4 wickets fell including a hat trick to finish with figures of 3-1-5-6, remarkable for such a young cricketer. Dan (john) Thompson finished the Tutbury innings with his 3rd ball leaving the visitors all out in the 16th over for 38.
Rolleston started there reply with Dan F and young Brandon only for Brandon to play on with the fourth ball, incoming batsmen Charlie Wood (playing his last game at this level) pushed the score on steadily with lots of singles and extra's, before Charlie being bowled for 11. Jack Prescott soon departed shortly again playing on leaving Dan F to see the team home in the 9th over, with 11 not out.
Another victory for the 13's, but with 3 games to go a final push may see the squad get second place in the league.
