WEBSITE RELOCATION PROJECT.

Hard work has been underway for some months to relocate our website to a new address, All existing data photos and records are being duplicated and transferred to a common layout that all current users of the 'play cricket' sites will be familiar with.

It is our intention to close this current site down with effect from December 31st 2022 after which all information will appear on our new site

https://rolleston.play-cricket.com/home

The new site is already available and will continue to be updated going forward.
We hope that you enjoy our new website and all that it has to offer.
In the meantime updates to this site will now cease but existing notices are still accurate. Should you have any queries regarding our website please do not hesitate to contact the club where we will be delighted to help. With our thanks.

2022 JUNIOR CRICKET

PUTTING THE PANDEMIC IN THE PAST WITH OUTDOOR FUN AND TEAMWORK!

In 2022 there is a great way to get your child outdoors and active at Rolleston Cricket Club. Our Junior section now has nine teams covering all ages and abilities in an inclusive array of sporting opportunities.

For the 2022 season we will be running teams at Under 17, 15, 13 (x2) and under 11 (x2) all for girls and boys using the red ball and wooden bats.

We will also run Girls only under 12s, mixed Kwik cricket and All Stars taster programmes using plastic bats and balls to get children to know and love the greatest game there is. Our new partnership with John of Rolleston primary school offers children their chance to learn skills and gain in confidence at our after school clubs

WINTER NETS

Our winter nets will focus on Under 11s and Under 13s this year. They will be held on Wednesday evenings from the beginning of February from 6pm - 7pm at John Taylor Free School. Under 15s and 17s will attend a separate session designed to integrate the children further with our adult teams. Full details are available through the club as below.

KWIK CRICKET - PLASTIC FANTASTIC FOR 7 TO 9 YEAR OLDS

Our Kwik cricket sessions for boys and girls will return in the Spring, we want to ensure we can offer a good learning experience to our children which means limiting the number to keep reasonable coaching ratios. In this age group our teams are sometimes boys only, sometimes girls only but usually both.

If you'd like to join the contact list in advance of the sessions opening up please call John Travers on 07495 591525. If your child attends John of Rolleston School please contact the Headteacher about their cricket-focussed after school clubs.

Kwiks is played with plastic bats and balls in a fun format that includes friendly tournaments on Friday evenings around East Staffordshire.

There is a charge of £2 per session per child and a joining fee of £20.

ALL STARS CRICKET - FRESH AIR FUN STARTS FROM SCHOOL YEAR 1 AT ROLLESTON

All Stars Cricket provides boys and girls from in School Year 1 and Year 2 with 8 sessions of non-stop fun as part of a national programme. We burn plenty of energy as we learn about catching, throwing and using a bat and ball. All Stars is a safe starting place and is suitable for all skill levels, providing your child with the foundations to begin a lifelong love of physical activity and cricket. It's also a chance to make friends in an inclusive and enjoyable environment.

Children aged 5-7 will be asked to sign up to our All Stars programme details of which will be released in Spring 2022. Please call John Travers on 07495 591525 or email johnctrav@hotmail.com who can explain more about what we offer.
